Perguntam-me muitas vezes, principalmente homens, porque faço círculos de mulheres e não faço círculos mistos. Considero que ambos são fundamentais mas com propósitos diferentes.

Há muito a trabalhar, a viver, a criar, a aprender só entre mulheres e muito entre homens e mulheres e muito só entre homens.

Considero muito importante para todos nós, homens e mulheres, dentro do que nos é possível, a consciência do legado que carregamos e da história que se desenrolou antes de chegarmos aqui. Mesmo que aparentemente não esteja presente, está presente no nosso inconsciente e no inconsciente colectivo. Se não fizermos nada sobre isso, terá influência sobre quem somos, sobre a nossa vida e sobre o colectivo em que vivemos. Citando Carl Jung: “Quando o diagnóstico está correcto, a cura começa”. Por outras palavras, quando tomamos consciência, a cura começa.

Deixo-vos um excerto do livro “The Alphabet versus the Goddess” de Leonard Shlain.
Este excerto retrata um pouco do horror vivido pelas mulheres no tempo da “caça às bruxas” e onde se percebe e compreende tanto daquilo que ainda hoje toca muitas mulheres, mesmo que subtilmente.

“…Anne Llewellyn Barstow, in her book Witchcraze, estimated from court records she examined that over a hundred thousand people were exterminated. Some recent investigations claim that the number was in the millions. The truth can never be completely ascertained. The last witch was “officially” executed in Poland in 1782. It is impossible to conceive of the irreparable damage done to the women who survived this protected reign of terror. No woman alive in the Western world could have been unaware of what was happening. Anyone who actually witnessed a burning would have been severely traumatized. No friendship between women was safe. If a friend was arrested, there could be no guarantee against betrayal under the duress of torture.
The vast majority of women had no protection. Conducting oneself in a docile, silent, and unobtrusive manner, avoiding female friendships, and sticking close to home and husband was the only way to avoid the glowing pincer´s grasp. Modern man have been known to ask why so few women in the last centuries made stellar contributions to the arts and sciences. Most men have never had to fear sticking out from the crowd far enough to elicit the heart-stopping accusation of “Witch!”. Ancient female wisdom - medical and otherwise - accumulated painstakingly over eons went up in flames along with the “witches”….” - Leonard Shlain

I am often asked, mainly by men, why I do circles of women and I don’t do mixed circles. I believe that both are fundamental but with different purposes.

There is a lot to work, to live, to create, to learn only between women and a lot between men and women and a lot only between men.

I consider very important for all of us, men and women, within what is possible, to be aware of the legacy that we carry and the history that unfolded before we arrived here. Even though it is apparently not present, it is present in our unconscious and in the collective unconscious. If we do nothing about it, it will have an influence on who we are, on our life and on the collective in which we live. Quoting Carl Jung: "When the diagnosis is correct, the healing begins". In other words, when we become aware/conscious, healing begins.
